Over the past few years I have learned valuable lessons. Some lessons I should have learned before now and applied to my life but others are timely and will help me endure the next season of my life.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I have learned to petition God for my wants as well as my needs. I remember making rash decisions and worrying about every little issue. Honestly, I still have minor issues in this area but nothing like the past forty eight.
I worry less which means I have more time to focus on important things. I learned to let God take care of me because see I am not capable to care for myself the way God does.
I pray instead of worry. Not only do I pray about "big" things but I pray in all things. I make my request known to God; He is my Father, my Keeper, and my Provider.
I encourage you to allow the worry to fall off. I won't tell you it is going to be easy and that you won't ever worry, but I will say that after you start to let God do what He does, you will have a peace come over you and over time you will notice you don't worry.
Once you start to seek Him through prayer and His Word, you will find that with every situation, it will become easier to lay it at His feet.
