.......He will give you the desires of your heart. During reflection time this morning, I was reminded of this scripture and I do believe God will give me the desires of my heart. The question is, what does my heart desire versus what my mouth speaks? When this hit my spirit,I really had to think.
Our mouth says things that may sound good not only to us but to others however, do our words really reflect our true desires. The mouth speaks what the heart is full of however, I find we often manipulate what we speak out of our mouths, to fit our situation but may not reflect our hearts.
This week I am participating in the Pray for your Future Spouse challenge, this is my third year. I am excited about it this year, not just in emotion but in mind. I thought about reasons why I want/need a spouse, I thought about what I want/desire in a spouse, and what I want/need to be as a wife.
Clearly, I have decided I want a husband but is this truly the desire of my heart? I have decided to work towards another degree, and not only have I decided but my heart reflects it as I am working towards it...see where I am going.......
Our desires have to match our actions. My actions told me, I was working on improving my bedroom experiences and wearing better lingerie but wasn't working towards other aspects of gaining a spouse as related to my own personal challenges (another post)
What have you decided you wanted and does your heart reflect it. Pray God aligns your words to match your hearts desire. I pray your actions become a reflection of your desires. May you gain comfort in knowing God wants to give you the things you desire and blessings He gives adds no sorrow. May the things you desire add value to your life and will be used to glorify our Father.
