I do not own the rights to this song
Broken: Having been fractured or damaged; no longer in one piece or in working order
Having giving up all hope; despairing
Although your heart may be hurting, and you may have a scratch or two, there may be some bruising and some scars know that broken is not your break! You are right where God wants you, right where He needs you, head down and knees to the floor with hands lifted high.
When we think about broken we do think about a place of giving up all hope, but that is right when God steps in. See, it is not our loss of hope in Him, it is giving up hope in doing it our own way and relying on our own nature to resolve or repair what led us to the place of brokenness.
Why are seasons of brokenness necessary and why, for some, do they seem to occur so often? Seasons of brokenness restore us back to God, it a place of repentance, it allows a place where it is just my God and I! Brokenness is an attention getter, it allows focus, and allows us to readjust our sites.
I do not enjoy seasons of brokenness, they hurt, I cannot find peace, and it seems as if I am in a state of continuous turmoil and disarray BUT those places quickly bring back to my remembrance times of disobedience, times when I leaned to my own understanding, times when I failed to acknowledge God in every area of my life.
I thank God my broken is not my break for He is a God of restoration, a God of healing, God is near to them whose hearts are broken.
You are not worthless, when you have areas of brokenness allow God to put you back on the potters wheel as you are His clay. Allow Him to continue the work He started in you! He did not create you for you to be unusable but He created you with a purpose in mind...Your broke is not your break!
This reminds me of a book titled “ Broken crayons still color”! In our brokenness there is still a purpose in our life..We have to use every situation in our life to glorify our God!!! You don’t know your strength till you can lift someone else up even in your broken state !!
